Jury selection set to begin in David Temple re-trial

Jury selection is set to begin today in the re-trial for David Temple, the former Alief Hastings High School football coach whose conviction for his wife’s murder was overturned because of prosecutorial misconduct.
Temple spent 10 years in prison for the Jan. 11, 1999 killing of his pregnant wife, Belinda Lucas Temple. He was released in 2016, after a state district judge found dozens of instances of misconduct in the first murder trial.
