Jack Ogg, longtime Texas lawmaker and father to Harris County DA, dies

The oldest of three sons born during the Depression Era, Jack Ogg worked his way through University of Houston, where he was twice elected as class president, before graduating from the South Texas College of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1962, and had the couple had their first son, Jon Christopher Ogg, in 1969.
