Houston's Glenbrook Golf Course to become a botanic garden this spring

Golf operations will cease at Glenbrook April 1, Mayor Sylvester Turner said, announcing Wednesday that the botanic garden group had met its commitment in its contract with the city to raise at least $20 million by the end of 2017.
