Houston conference empowers women of color in STEM fields

Put together by AnitaB.org, a group that supports women in technology, the Grace Hopper Conference in downtown Houston is an annual, three-day event that features career fairs, trainings and talks from notable women and women of color in STEM fields. It's one of the largest such conferences in the world, and attracted over 18,000 people from 81 countries last year.This year, the conference included over 50 young women of color — predominantly black and Latina — from the Oakland-based
