HISD trustees to hold public meetings on 'improvement required' campuses

Starting Tuesday, three Houston ISD Board of Education trustees will be hosting a series of community meetings at schools facing drastic changes because they are considered chronically low-performing by the state.
Ten HISD campuses have struggled academically for five or more years and must meet state standards this year to avoid triggering state intervention, according to a news release Saturday from the district.
