Has Apple quietly fixed its sticky MacBook Pro keyboard problem?

Has Apple fixed the problem with MacBook Pro keys becoming unresponsive due to dust, dirt or crumbs getting inside the mechanism? The company says know, but a teardown may indicate otherwise.
