Harris County to consider Aug. 25 for flood control bond referendum

Harris County Commissioners Court on Tuesday will consider seeking a special election on August 25 for a massive bond referendum for flood control projects, according to the court’s agenda.
The agenda item marks the first time a specific date has emerged for the highly-anticipated bond referendum, which county leaders have said will be upwards of $1 billion and could help finance massive improvements to the Houston area's flood control system.
