Harris County man drowns near Surfside Beach

A Harris County man drowned near Surfside Beach Friday evening.The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 5:20 p.m. that a swimmer had gone down in distress. The swimmer, a 35-year-old man, was trying to swim out to the third sand bar but didn’t make it, said Lt.
