First GOP debates in congressional battle set

The candidates running to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Ted Poe are set to square off in their first debate next week. On Tuesday the Cherry Tree Republican Club will host the nine candidates running for the 2nd Congressional District. That forum is at 6 p.m. at Don Ramon's Mexican Restaurant, 5505 FM 1960, Houston.
