First campaign ads in Houston-area congressional race

In new television ads, Republican Kevin Roberts is making the case that he is the best candidate running for the 2nd Congressional District to deal with persistent flooding problems. In the 30 second ad, Roberts flashes scenes from Hurricane Harvey and calls the impacts on the region a "failure of leadership." A narrator then tells viewers that Roberts is working with President Donald Trump to prevent another disaster.
