FEMA extends sheltering assistance for Harvey victims

Federal Emergency Management Agency officials on Tuesday extended a sheltering program for victims of Hurricane Harvey for another month, the latest extension to pay for hotels and other temporary housing for victims of the historic storm last fall.Gov. Greg Abbott said the extension will keep the temporary shelter payments active through June 1 in Houston and other Gulf Coast areas ravaged by the storm and related flooding.
