Dan Patrick has a new chief of staff

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's general counsel, Darrell Davila, will become his chief of staff on April 2, Patrick announced Tuesday.Davila, who has been with Patrick since he became lieutenant governor in January 2015, replaces Logan Spence, a longtime top aide to Patrick since the time when he was a state senator. Spence is leaving to enter the private sector.
