Critically endangered sea turtle species now at Texas State Aquarium

A 1-year-old Kemp’s ridley sea turtle rescued during last fall’s cold stunning can now be viewed by visitors at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. The endangered turtle, named Champ by aquarium officials, is missing its front left flipper. When it was found, it had small healed bite marks on its left rear flipper leading rescuers to believe it survived an attack.
