Charges upgraded for driver after Good Samaritan declared brain dead

The driver who allegedly plowed into a group of Good Samaritans trying to help a stranded motorist Monday morning is now facing an upgraded intoxicated manslaughter charge, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
