Alamo finances are in political crossfire
SAN ANTONIO — An audit addressing financial operations at the Alamo is in the crossfire of a battle between Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush and the Democratic candidate hoping to unseat him.
Bush called the audit and resulting changes by the General Land Office “a deep dive in to the Alamo’s financial management policies.” But his opponent in the Nov. 6 general election, Miguel Suazo, has said the audit should concern everyone who cares about the mission and battle
