A little Central Texas town slumbers - and dreams

This week, sleepy downtown Martindale was an ideal movie stand-in for a little burg in New Mexico that was visited — in the imaginations of co-writer/directors Samantha Buck and Marie Schlingmann — by Aimee Semple McPherson, America’s most famous evangelist during the early 20th century.
