4 rescued from boat fire off Surfside

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued four people from a boat fire on Sunday afternoon, just a few miles offshore of Surfside Beach.The four people were aboard a 40-foot Viking sport fishing boat that caught fire about 9 miles south of the beach. They made a radio mayday call just after 1 p.m. before abandoning ship into a life raft.
