11-year-old killed in crash; Driver slams into HPD cruiser working the scene

The child and four other family members were driving southbound on Wirt Road near Hammerly Blvd. around 9 p.m. when another driver tried to turn left onto Hammerly and slammed into the family's car head-on, police said.
