Skywatch: Adaptive optics system sharpens space images

A new, exciting chapter has begun at the University of Hawaii 2.2-meter telescope. The University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy, or IfA, has launched initial science operations for Robo-AO-2, a robotic laser adaptive optics system. The milestone marks a major leap in how astronomers observe the night sky.
