Rearview Mirror: Hawaii and England have connections that go way back

I happened to be watching a spot of telly last week. I had just put the kettle on, and as it happens, a program about the U.K. was just beginning. I fancied penning a piece about the myriad connections between Hawaii and jolly old England.
