HECO outages on Big Isle drop to 1,600

Hawaiian Electric Co., which is being supported by 50 utility workers from Southern California Edison, said Wednesday evening it reached a major milestone on Hawaii island with the successful return of a key transmission line from Pahala to Kilauea that has allowed crews to return power to customers inPahala.
