Fiber-optic cables help improve energy efficiency

Soaring energy costs have made everyone in Hawaii much more aware of the need to reduce our energy use. One of the first things that comes to mind is using less electricity, one of our highest expenses. We think about switching to more energy-efficient light bulbs, getting energy-efficientvehicles that require fewer trips to the gas station, and remembering to turn off the air conditioner when we’re not in the room.
