Council member proposes Hamakua Coast trail

The Hamakua Coast is known for dense forests, steep cliffs and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Although parts of the region are largely inaccessible on foot, a proposal for a new trail through the area, running from Hilo to Waipio, could someday change
that.
