Police: Man shot dead by Miami Beach cop escaped halfway house

The man shot and killed by a Miami Beach Police officer after he allegedly tried to rob a bank, Saturday morning, had escaped from a halfway house where he was finishing a prison sentence for robbing two banks, investigators said.
