Michael Szafranski sentenced to 2.5 years in prison

U.S. District Judge William Dimitrouleas sentenced Michael Szafranski Monday afternoon for his role Scott Rothstein's $1.4 billion Ponzi scheme.Szafranski, Rothstein's advisor, recruited investors from his synagogue, The Young Israel Congregation, in Bal Harbour. He pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud conspiracy in July.
