Fort Lauderdale man found dead near Pompano Beach park

A man's body was found early Thursday morning in a field across from a Pompano Beach park.Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said some passersby came across the body lying near shrubs in a field across from Mitchell-Moore Park.Carter said the victim, identified as Charles Roberson, 45, of Fort Lauderdale, had injuries to his body indicating that he was brutally killed.A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.Homicide detectives are investigating.Anyone with information
