Florida homeowner finds expensive show horse slaughtered

Authorities are investigating after they say someone slaughtered a woman's expensive show horse in southwest Florida.Manatee County Sheriff's deputies say the horse was taken from its stall sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.The Herald-Tribune reports the dead horse was found with large portions of meat removed from it.The suspect could face charges of occupied burglary, grand theft and cruelty to an animal.
