Fire forces hundreds from apartment building near FIU

Hundreds of Florida International University students have been evacuated from an apartment building near campus after a fire broke out early Tuesday morning. Witnesses tell Local 10 News a grease fire sparked the flames on the 10th floor of 109 Tower along Southwest 109th Avenue at 7th Street after midnight. Much of the floor was damaged by fire and other parts of the building suffered water damage from the sprinkler system. No one was injured. Students who live in the off-campus
