Authorities release 911 call made after small plane crash in Broward County
The Broward Sheriff's Office has released a 911 call made by a passenger aboard a small plane that crashed last week in western Broward County."We just had a plane crash -- small plane -- somewhere in the Everglades," the caller said."OK, can you give me two cross streets?" the dispatcher asked."I cannot give you anything else," he said. "I was a passenger on this plane."The caller told the dispatcher that they crashed near a canal and said the pilot, James Townsend, 63, appeared to be injured."
