Guiford County School Board votes to keep challenged book, ‘Salvage the Bones,’ in school

The Guilford County School Board voted to keep a challenged book as part of a school’s curriculum on Tuesday afternoon, thus closing the chapter on a saga that began more than six months ago.The school board held a special meeting to hear a challenge to Salvage the Bones, a book by Jesmyn Ward.
