Valley group says AB199 would be devastating to homebuyers

A group of developers and home builders led by Fresno Republican Assemblyman Jim Patterson said AB199, which would require that workers be paid prevailing wage rates on new housing projects, would cause construction costs to skyrocket and housing to become even more unaffordable for lower-income families.
