Train hits car at Fresno intersection, but luckily no one is hurt

Tragedy was avoid Thursday night in central Fresno when a car was struck by a northbound freight train - after those in the vehicle were able to get out, police said. The incident was reported about 6:30 p.m., according to Fresno Police call logs, with officers responding to a call of a collision on railroad tracks at West Olive Avenue and North Golden State Boulevard.
