Fresno man gets probation in assault during Donald Trump protest

A Fresno gang member who was charged with assaulting a police officer during Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's visit to Fresno in May was sentenced Monday to three years probation. Vera pleaded no contest June 20 in Fresno County Superior Court to a felony charge of assault on a government official.
