CHP seeks driver in Madera hit-run

The Driver of a white, late-model Toyota Corolla involved in a major injury collision with a pedestrian in Madera is sought by the California Highway Patrol. A CHP spokesman said the incident took place late Monday night at Highway 145 and Avenue 12. About 11:45 p.m., Pilas Garza Valdez, 75, of Fresno was pushing a shopping cart south on the east shoulder of 145 north of 12. Valdez was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The Toyota should have front-end damage.
