'The Science Behind the Flush': WaterWorks FunFest

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Community members can plunge into the world of water treatment at the City Utilities' WaterWorks FunFest on Saturday.Tours around the Water Pollution Control Plant educate visitors on how the facility manages 100 million gallons of water daily. Participants are guided through the plant's screening and pump room, through the control room and end their journey at the laboratory.In addition to the tour, the event includes hands-on experiments, games and prizes.
