SCAN renamed Iris Family Support Center

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – SCAN celebrates 50 years of family support with a name change on Wednesday.The non-profit will now be known as Iris Family Support Center, a title which its Board of Directors believe encapsulates all services the agency provides to children and families.According to the press release, organizers said they made the switch away from SCAN, or Stop Abuse and Child Neglect, because the previous name made families hesitant to reach out before a crisis occurred.“F
