One injured in house fire on Fort Wayne's southeast side

FORT WAYNE, (WANE) — One person was taken to the hospital following a house fire on the city's southeast side.Fort Wayne Fire Department responded at 12:11 p.m. on Thursday to 4006 E Pettit Avenue on a reported structure fire. When crews arrived they saw smoke from a small single-story house, the fire was centralized in one of the bedrooms.According to a FWFD release, crews found an individual outside with injuries. They were transported to an area hospital.
