Navistar name change takes effect October 1

LISLE, Ill. (WANE) A company with strong ties to Fort Wayne is changing its name as of October 1, 2024. Navistar will become International Motors as part of a rebranding announced on September 25.Prior to 1986, Navistar was known as International Harvester which manufactured various vehicles in Fort Wayne until 1983. At one time, International Harvester was Fort Wayne's largest employer with as many as 10,000 people working to assemble trucks.
After the assembly plant closed, Fort Wayne remained
