Local districts react to 3rd grade Indiana reading proficiency law
ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- Indiana's second and third-graders will face some changes in the 2024-2025 school year after the rollout of the “Every Child Learns to Read” bill July 1.The bill requires students in the second grade to take the IREAD assessment.
