Illinois man pleads guilty in murder for hire scheme

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- An Illinois man who attempted to hire an Allen County man to murder his ex-wife pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court.

John Gierek, a 35-year-old Illinois resident, pleaded guilty to two counts of “use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire.”
