DeKalb Plan Commission will consider potential solar project

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – On Wednesday, the DeKalb County Plan Commission will meet to consider the first step in a potential solar energy project.Thalassa Energy Project LLC has requested an amendment to the commercial solar energy overlay district which includes about 872 acres in Wilmington Township, just southwest of Butler.The amendment would not change the base zoning of the property but more so add an additional use.This project is now the second request the Plan Commission has h
