Collision with pipeline causes gas leak and shut down of major intersection in Bluffton

BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) -- The Bluffton Police Department is warning residents to keep away from the intersection of Main Street and State Road 124 after a collision with a pipeline caused a gas leak.
According to an officer with the Bluffton Police Department, it's believed that a driver left the roadway and hit the gas pipeline that runs alongside the roadway. Officers are not able to confirm exactly what happened as they are not able to get close to the vehicle due to safety.
