Allen County Coroner's Office identifies infant discovered in March 2002

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified an infant that was discovered on Fort Wayne's south side more than 22 years ago.The infant, only identified by the coroner's office as "Baby John Doe," was discovered March 14, 2002, in the 4000 block of Calumet Avenue.Using next-generation sequencing, the Indiana State Police (ISP) Laboratory was able to identify the infant as well as the father.
