1 dead, another in critical condition after a vehicle hit a utility pole

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- A large police presence can be seen in the 11000 block of Houk Road.Just before 6:13 p.m., Allen County Police responded to calls of a single-vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle was traveling northbound when it left the roadway, hitting a utility pole and rolling into a ditch.
The driver, a male teen, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger, a male teen, was flown to area hospitals in critical condition.
