Water Main Break Forces Portion Of Colfax To Close

DENVER (CBS4) – East Colfax Avenue will be closed between Oneida Street and Niagara Street throughout Tuesday as Denver Water works to repair a burst pipe.
The westbound lanes were closed just before 11 a.m. when a 12-inch water main broke at the 6700 block of Colfax Avenue.
The cause is not certain, but the pipe was installed in 1890.
Business, restaurants, and hotels along both sides of the street will be without water during the repair.
