Student Struck, Killed While Crossing Street

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) – The Legacy High School community is mourning the loss of 16-year-old student Jory Coates after they say he was struck and killed by a driver in Westminster Saturday morning.
Westminster police say the teen was waiting on a median near 112th and Federal, when a car heading north on Federal veered off the road.
Police say the teen was killed on impact.
