(CBS4)– A freshman football player at Colorado Mesa University drowned while swimming at a popular, yet dangerous area called the Potholes.Calls for help came in Wednesday evening from Glade Park in the Grand Junction recreational area.Austin Worbington had gone into the water and a medical helicopter was used to fly him to St. Mary’s Hospital.Worbington, 20, did not survive.The Potholes are a local hangout and popular area for cliff jumping.
