Student Diabetic: ‘I Can’t Wait For The Day I Can Blow Up My Kit’

AURORA, Colo (CBS4) – In Colorado, 410,312 people are living with diabetes. Another 1.3 million are at risk of developing the disease. One student is working toward the day there is a cure for diabetes.
D.J. Smith is an active 12-year old. He’s been playing lacrosse since he was eligible at age 6.

“I’ve always loved lacrosse. I’d love to play professionally. I love to watch all the games,” Smith told CBS4.
He started playing before
