Snow Day Means Sledding For Kids

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4)– When a snow day strikes, the backpacks and books are replaced with sleds and snowboards. Paintbrush Park in Highlands Ranch was swarmed with children who got the day off from Douglas County schools.
“I got up at 5:30 a.m. and saw that schools were open and I wasn’t too happy. Then I got up at 6:30 and they were all closed so that was a bonus for me,” said 12-year-old Carson Jones.
