Showers and thunderstorms possible across the state for much of the week

It’s not a bad idea to keep an umbrella on hand this week, as showers and thunder storms are possible until Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday’s temperature hit 86 degrees, tying the record for the date, set in 1963. And the mercury could climb to 84 degrees Sunday. But a band of clouds hanging over the area make it unlikely to threaten a record, said Mike Baker, weather service meteorologist.
